The amount required as proof of funds is set by German authorities and can change. Confirm the current figure through the German Embassy Bangkok or official federal information. Even when that sum is secured, it does not automatically cover expenses due before monthly releases begin.
List costs by when they are paid
Separate costs in Thailand—translations, certifications, tests, visa fee, travel—from arrival costs such as temporary accommodation, rental deposit, first rent, transport, household basics, and semester contribution. Mark whether each payment is refundable.
Keep an accessible margin
A rental deposit and first month of rent can fall close together. Flights change. A bank activation may take longer than hoped. Hold an emergency amount outside money that cannot yet be accessed, while following applicable declaration and banking rules.
Provider comparisons should cover fees, release process, acceptance for your visa route, support, and refund terms—not only the headline setup price.
